Two empires evolved independently from each other on opposite sides of a great divide. Few of the respective empire's governors know the other exists and will do anything to prevent contact between the two. The purpose? To save their respective empires. Something has convinced them that the discovery of the other empire will bring theirs to ruin…

Silence & Distance is a worldbuilding game for 3-5 players in which turn by turn you will interpret a government Schemer within two distant civilizations that will react to the Historian Discoveries of what exists in the great divide. You can adapt the game to play it in any genre: the civilizations can be cosmic empire and the great divide the space itself, or they can be two distant kingdoms on a water planet with the great divide being a huge ocean, or a kingdom and a secret organization separated by a desert.

Inspiration for Silence & Distance has been narrations like Game of Throne, The Priorate of the Orange Tree, The Foundation Cicle, The Three Body Problem, One Piece, and games like Kingdom, Reign, Follow, Blades in the Dark, A Quiet Year.
